Stručné shrnutí průběhu demonstrace “Nacionalismus není alternativa” a následných antifašistických akcí, jež proběhly 17. listopadu v Praze, a poděkování všem, kdo se do nich aktivně zapojili. [English version below]
Za celou naší skupinu cítíme potřebu poděkovat všem, co se ve čtvrtek zapojili do našich akcí. Na demonstraci se nás sešlo k pěti stovkám i přes relativně brzký začátek. Do demonstrace se zapojily i dva samostatné bloky – feministický a antikapitalistický. V happeningu před sídlem ČSSD jsme symbolicky vrátili politickým stranám jejich rasistické, sexistické, homofobní a národovecké sračky. Kromě našeho projevu, projevů feministického a antikapitalistického boku, zazněl taky výborný projev od autonome antifa wien a prohlášení solidarity s Čechy, kteří byli kvůli podpoře rojavských milic YPG/YPJ v Turecku obviněni z terorismu. Po skončení demonstrace se účastníci a účastnice zorganizovali do dvou tzv. “prstů” a vydali se směrem ke shromáždění ultrapravicové SPD, která zde protestovala proti některým konkrétním dopadům polistopadové transformace. Části modrého prstu se podařilo na shromáždění dostat a poslat na něj jasný vzkaz, že kritika kapitalismu musí jít ruku v ruce s kritikou národa. O dvě hodiny později se pak začali lidé scházet v židovském městě, aby zabránili pochodu ultrapravice. Už jen fakt, že jsme se tam shromáždili, donutil ultrapravičáky ke změně trasy. Následně se pak dařilo znovu a znovu blokovat možné trasy nácků a ačkoliv se po určité době podařilo policii vyčistit cestu, židovské město zůstalo nedotčeno. Některým skupinám se dokonce na krátkou dobu podařilo zablokovat i druhý pochod ultrapravice, který směřoval na Kampu. Policie, která celou situaci nezvládala, následně reagovala plošnou represí, kdy na pochybném právním základě obklíčila bezdůvodně velké množství lidí, aby je pak na místě držela po několik hodin. Navzdory tomu se ale dá čtvrtek považovat za úspěch. Podařilo se nám jak tematizovat problém nacionalismu středu, tak hovořit o alternativách. Následně jsme způsobili frustraci ultrapravici, jejíž pokusy o získání veřejného prostoru skončily fiaskem. Díky všem, co se ve čtvrtek zapojili!

The 17th of November: antinational solidarity against the ultra-right wing and the nationalism of the center
We, the organizing group, would like to thank everyone who participated in our actions on Thursday. Despite the early start, about 500 people attended the demonstration. Even two independent blocs, one feminist, one anticapitalist, joined in. In front of the ČSSD headquarters we symbolically returned the political parties their racist, sexist, homophobic and nationalist shit. Besides our own speech and those of the feminist and anticapitalist blocs, we’ve also heard a speech by autonome antifa wien and a declaration of solidarity with those Czechs who have been arrested in Turkey for their support of the YPG/YPJ brigades in Rojava, and who are now facing charges of terrorism. After the demonstration, two so-called “fingers” were formed that took off in the direction of a manifestation held by the ultra-right SPD, protesting against concrete effects of the transformation since 1989. Parts of the blue finger actually made it there and so they could send a clear message, that there cannot be any anticapitalist criticism without criticism of the nation, too. About two hours later, people met again at the outskirts of the Jewish quarter of Prague, in order to make it impossible for the ultra-right to march through it. The sole fact that we have been there forced the ultra-right demonstration to change their route. Then, several blockades prevented the fascists from entering the Jewish quarter, and even though the police succeeded in clearing out all the blockades at a certain point, the streets of the Jewish quarter remained untouched by fascist feet. In the end of the day, several groups still managed to block also the second march of the ultra-right wing, heading towards Kampa. The police, who could not handle the situation, reacted by bold repression when they formed a kettle and kept a great amount of people on dubious legal merit for several hours in the same place. Still, we think of Thursday as a success. We expressed our criticism of the nationalism of society’s center as well as we pointed out possible alternatives. Last but not least, we’ve served the ultra-right wing a great plate of frustration, when their efforts to gain public space ended as fiasco. Thank you, everyone, who participated on Thursday!
